Narratives are powerful because they feel inevitable. They shape what we notice, what we ignore, what we fear, and what we desire. They give coherence to chaos — but they also trap us inside interpretations that may no longer serve us.
To live unconsciously is to inhabit a story written by someone else. To live consciously is to recognise the narrative, examine it, and decide whether it deserves to continue. Narrative sovereignty is not the rejection of story — it is the authorship of it.
Issue 09 completes the cognitive arc: from raw signal, to pattern, to narrative. Meaning is not found. It is constructed. And the story that remains is the one we choose to tell.
